Meet our lions in the photo - Khan and Dana.
Khan is 15 years old, he came to our zoo from France in 2004.
Dana is 13 years old and has been at the zoo since 2007.The couple has been living together for the 6th year, come and meet the other inhabitants of the house of predators!

 

Interesting facts:
  • Lions are the only feline species that live in families, known as prides.
  • Lions have muscles running along the entire length of their legs, which helps them jump exceptionally well.
  • The giant cat has the smallest heart relative to body size and weight among all African predators.
  • Khan is 15 years old and came to our zoo from France in 2004.
  • Dana is 13 years old and has been at the zoo since 2007.

  • Lions' eyesight is seven times better than that of humans.
  • Lionesses spend their entire lives in the pride where they were born, while males are expelled at the age of two or three.
