Every year on February 27, the world celebrates International Polar Bear Day. The main goal of this day is to raise awareness about polar bears and draw public attention to the need for their conservation.

This observance was initiated in 2008 by activists from the international organization Polar Bears International, which is dedicated to preserving the global population of polar bears.

Polar bears have always fascinated humans. They are strong and powerful creatures—the largest land carnivores in the world.

The species is listed in the Red Book of the Russian Federation. One of the key measures for preserving endangered species is maintaining them in carefully designed artificial habitats.

In honor of this day, we treated our polar bear, Purga, to a special "cake" made of fish, meat, and toys!
